I was on the fence on which one to get and ended up with the PM2. I was actually quite surprised when it arrived that it was not as big as it looks in photos and videos. So glad I did not go with the Para 3. Love my Fradon Lock PM2. Perfectly sized knife in my opinion.

I love them, especially the tantos with a belly. It feels like the best of both worlds, the utilitarianism of pinch grip and the practicalness of the slim belly. I also enjoy the edge’s elbow being longer down the blade, basically a western and eastern amalgamation of a tanto. Either style works for me. And yes you can do a chef’s hold in the front to use the forward edge.

I have carried a 940 for three years love it. Yes it is overpriced but like you said about the warranty. I cheated on that though I have bought a mini crooked River. It’s a little thicker and fills out the hand a little better

I got the spy27 lightweight para3 after I purchased the g10 s30v, and I agree the para3 lightweight is almost the perfect edc and way better than the full size. Then, the salt version was released, and it was perfected. I had to grab a second para3 lightweight and have zero regrets. (I will be getting a sage 5 salt when it drops though. )

Five years later and prices shot up to 220. Just got a Bradley 2. But I have a bunch of pm2 in many different steels

Ive just received my first compression lock, a para 3 and im now a big fan. Its my favourite lock id say. Looking for a small edc to complete my small medium large set . Its down to this or a mini bugout. The use will be light. The larger knives do the heavier stuff. Probably need to be an xmas gift , to myself lol. Anyone got both?

I have Kershaw Launch 1 and Protech TR-3 X1 Operator. After conducting comparative tests, I found the following: 1) the mechanical processing of the blade is better at Kershaw; 2) both knives open equally well, but Kershaw gives me a better feel of the blow (and his sound is better too, lol); 3) when opening, the buttons stick equally on both knives, but this is characteristic of automatic knives with side ejection of the blade (since there is constant friction between the blade and the button due to spring tension); 4) the reliability of the lock turned out to be higher in Kershaw (the Protech folded when hitting the stump and would have cut my fingers if not for the protective gloves). So I chose Launch. It is stronger, more versatile and simply more beautiful.

im six years late! dam! that being said, i just received my first knife made in the usa and my first spyderco. so for sure im going to come off as biased cause man i love this knife! the difference im feeling between the manix 2 and my kizers, my migurons, cjsb's and my vosteeds is unexplainable! like pretty much everyone else, im in disagreement with the ergonomic score, now im not saying your wrong by any means. this is your opinion and you happen to have a shit ton of knowledge of knives and i respect. and i love that knife twirly thing you do. back to the score. real quick i dont understand why you complain about the jimp on the underside of the handle and the same jimping is on the topside of the handle. i think it more or less completes the knife as in the looks, cause it looks dam good! ive heard more reviewers saying "as far as hard use and multiple edc tasks dont get any better then the manix 2, but man it sure is a weird looking knife, that thing is ugly!" maybe the one with the red g10 scales! the knife im looking at right now is one of the coolest looking knives on the planet. and we are always asking for more jimping and spyderco gave it to us. i think shaving 4 points for the light jimping was a little much... or, maybe i just wanted to let you know, in so many words that i absolutely love my new spyderco manix 2 and your channel! if you actually read this, thank you i appreciate your time and your hard work and knowledge....

Something about the Insistent and Efficient that has bothered me (on paper) is their weight and weird width. They just seem a lot bigger than they really need to be. If the Insistent was 2.5oz or so and closer to the size of the Lil Native, I'd already have one.
